Land and Water, Wick Flood Alleviation Scheme
Description
Working on behalf of Land and Water, Bartlett Contractors Ltd provided a stand alone sub-contract basis providing all necessary means to act as principal contractor to the Environment Agency.
The works consisted of construction of new embankments including cellular paving ramps, footpaths and block stone edging. Construction of new flood wall, raising of existing flood wall and trimming of existing close boarded fence. Raising of Wick Lane highway including new kerbs. Installing new palisade, timber post and rail and timber close boarded fencing. Installation of additional gullies and raising of existing gullies and manholes. Removal of trees, protection of trees and replanting of trees and shrubs. Installing precast concrete headwall and pipework for existing ditch. Relocating existing benches and water trough and all associated works.
